Depends on the book. I was reading in the trade paperback format and was pissed that they're only reprinting them in hardcover.
As for the changes, I know there's some big ones in the Dark Angels books, Battle for the Abyss, and Thousand Sons. Off the top of my head, the EC's symbol is changed from the eagle to the Palatine Aquila, to match their Betrayal write up.

If people want some all around great HH stuff, I highly recommend the Meduson anthology. Follow-up to Scars, Salamander characters not written by Kyme, Iron Hands not acting like morons. It's all there.

I personally found the Gaunt's Ghosts series to be repetative and boring. Is the Caphias Cain series much different? All I've heard is that it has a bit more humor.

I have not read gaunts yet so I cannot compare them, Cain is a tad repetitive with minor themes which is why I suggest not marathoning them if those tidbits might get on your nerves.

I enjoyed the series though and it does have some humor.

Nothing happens in most of the book. It doesn't even really become 40K related until three quarters of the way in, before then it's just weird knights fighting monsters on the planet of boredom. The Luther/Lion conflict is set up in an incredibly dumb way.

Noob question. Is there any way to reliably transfer PDF files to MOBI while keeping the text quality high? I've transferred a few of these books in PDF format to my kindle, while some are fine, the text on others is tiny and slightly blurred. I can't increase text size on Kindle when it's a PDF file. The protagonist basically keeps fucking everything up, keeps changing her objective depending on her emotional whim at the moment and she generally acts like a spoiled child. It's like she basically didn't learn anything from her failures in the first two books, she just keeps escalating the situation for the worse and she acts like most of the time everything is always someone elses fault.
I have never disliked a protagonist as much as her in any BL book before and she is not even all that bad in the first two books
